The Hydrogen-based Energy Refueling Base in Changxing Island was Launched

On January 3rd, the Hydrogen-based Energy Refueling Base in Changxing Island, Dalian (Northeast Asia) and the COSCO SHIPPING Xizhong Island Chemical and New Energy Storage and Logistics Park project were officially launched.
In terms of production and manufacturing, Changxing Island plans to cooperate with leading enterprises in the industry such as China General Nuclear Power Group and Envision Group, and introduce projects on green ammonia, green methanol and green aviation kerosene. It is expected that in the next two to three years, about 300,000 tons of green methanol and green ammonia, as well as 300,000 tons of green aviation kerosene can be produced annually, providing a guarantee for the refueling of hydrogen-based energy.
In terms of trade and refueling, it will cooperate with China Marine Bunker (PetroChina) and Wah Kwong Maritime Transport Holdings to build a green marine bunker trade platform and provide supporting services for refueling trade for various refueling companies along the coast.
In terms of scientific and technological innovation, it will carry out industry-university-research cooperation with the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Dalian University of Technology, Dalian Maritime University and so on to conduct application innovation in the hydrogen-based energy industry.
The COSCO SHIPPING Xizhong Island Chemical and New Energy Storage and Logistics Park project launched on the same day is the core link in the storage and transportation end of the Hydrogen-based Energy Refueling Base in Changxing Island. COSCO SHIPPING will provide the whole-process logistics services including land transportation of hazardous chemicals, storage, wharf and sea transportation to realize the whole-process "end-to-end" transportation of hydrogen-based energy products in the Northeast region and the three provinces and one autonomous region in eastern Inner Mongolia.
