Recently, the offline review meeting for the 90% 3D model of the PC&BPA joint installation of the Fujian Zhongsha Gulei project was successfully held at Tianchen Plaza. The owner team, multiple patent dealer teams, various complete supplier teams, Tianchen’s design team and relevant experts attended the meeting.

The 90% 3D model review is the final comprehensive review conducted during the detailed design phase, mainly focusing on the equipment, pipeline and instrument installation, electrical and telecommunications settings, structural building collision integration, integrity of waterway fire protection coverage, operation and maintenance space channels, and preparation for commissioning, to ensure that all design elements are complete and accurate.

The smooth conduct of this review meeting not only marks an important milestone for the project to be completed, but also lays a solid foundation for the release of finished documents in various disciplines in the next step, and prepares adequately for the subsequent shift of work focus to the construction site. The project team of Tianchen will continue to make every effort to complete the follow-up work and submit a satisfactory answer to the owner.

The Zhongsha Gulei Ethylene Project is the largest Sino foreign joint venture project in Fujian Province with a one-time investment. It is jointly invested and built by Saudi Basic Industries Corporation (SABIC), Fujian Energy Petrochemical Group, and Zhangzhou Jiulong River Group. The construction includes a world-class 1.5 million tons/year ethylene plant (expected to have an annual production capacity of up to 1.8 million tons of ethylene), as well as downstream deep processing consortium plants. With a total investment of 44.8 billion yuan (about 6.4 billion US dollars), the project is expected to be completed in 2026. A comprehensive construction event kicked off for the project on February 19, 2024.
