The total investment of Hunan Petrochemical′s 1 million tons/year ethylene refining integration project is 35.68 billion yuan, the largest single investment industrial project of its kind in Hunan so far. It includes two parts: 1 million tons/year ethylene and refining integrated transformation. The project is expected to be put into operation in December 2025 and has entered the comprehensive bidding stage now.

Construction content: This project involves the construction of a 1 million tons/year ethylene plant and a total of 14 downstream plants, including ethylene plant, EVA plant, HDPE plant, LLDPE plant, aromatic benzene production plant, butadiene extraction plant, MTBE/butene-1 plant, pyrolysis gasoline hydrogenation plant, aromatic extraction plant, styrene extraction plant, C5 separation plant, CHPPO plant, phenol/acetone plant, bisphenol A plant, as well as necessary storage and transportation engineering, public works, auxiliary facilities, and off-site engineering.
