On April 28th, the online approval and supervision platform for investment projects in Jiangxi Province released information, showing that the Huaneng Lianhua hydrogen energy production, storage and processing integration project has been registered.

The declaring unit is Huaneng Jiangxi Clean Energy Co., Ltd., with a construction start date of September 2025 and a completion date of December 2026.

Located in Liangfang Town, Lianhua County, the project is dedicated to hydrogen production and refueling of the Huaneng Lianhua Wind Solar Hydrogen Storage Integrated Energy Demonstration Project. The overall plan of the project is to develop wind solar hydrogen storage integration. In this phase, the Huaneng Lianhua Hydrogen Production, Storage, and Hydrogenation Integration Project will develop a 600Nm3/h electrolytic water hydrogen production system and a 500kg/d hydrogen refueling station. The project will use green electricity generated by wind and photovoltaic projects to produce green hydrogen through water electrolysis hydrogen production equipment. The produced green hydrogen will be supplied to hydrogen fuel heavy-duty trucks and hydrogen fuel mixer trucks. The vehicles will use hydrogen fuel cell systems as power to achieve zero carbon emissions during operation, replacing traditional fuel vehicles and effectively reducing carbon emissions in the transportation field.
