Henan¡äs 300,000 T/Year Green Methanol Production Project Launched

Recently, the tender announcement for the safety condition report of the 300,000 tons/year biomass green methanol project of Henan Shunli Alcohol and Hydrogen Energy Technology Co., Ltd. was released.
The project has a scale of 300,000 tons of biomass green methanol per year and adopts the technical route of biomass gasification coupled with green hydrogen synthesis. It can consume raw materials such as agricultural and forestry waste, industrial by-product hydrogen, and captured carbon dioxide, and is expected to reduce carbon emissions by more than 500,000 tons annually.
After completion, the project will become the largest biomass-based green methanol production base in the Central Plains region, providing key support for the construction of the "green electricity + green hydrogen + green ammonia + green methanol" industrial cluster proposed in Henan¡äs "14th Five-Year Plan" for renewable energy.
Located in Yindu District, Anyang City, the project represents another major layout of Henan Shunli Alcohol and Hydrogen Energy in the field of green and low-carbon development, following the commissioning of the world¡äs first 100,000-ton carbon dioxide hydrogenation to methanol project.
