Recently, the construction of the first phase of the Huatai Chemical’s Green Ocean New Materials Industrial Base project in Dongying Economic and Technological Development Zone has been in full swing. Accompanied by the roar of construction machinery, workers are grouped in an orderly manner to carry out construction operations. In the first phase, there are three projects: a 100,000 ton/year epoxy resin project, a 250,000 ton/year industrial waste salt resource utilization project, etc. Among them, the 100,000 ton/year epoxy resin project has completed 75% of the total project volume, and the installation of process equipment and electrical instruments has entered the final stage. It is planned to achieve trial production in July.

The project involves the construction of 6 major industrial chains with 14 projects, including 2 hydrogen industrial chain projects, 10 chlorine industrial chain projects and 2 resource development projects. The project aims to mainly develop emerging future industries in the sectors of electronic grade chemicals, organic peroxides and polymer materials, new refrigerants and fluorine materials and new energy battery materials. While accelerating the construction of the first phase, plans have been launched for the second and third phases of the project. By jointly developing new process technologies with Donghua University and Tsinghua University, the project focuses on the layout of special epoxy resin and electronic grade new material production lines, further extending the chlor-alkali chemical industry chain and promoting the localization and substitution process of high-end new materials.
