Tianshan Aluminum Group Reconstructs 200,000-ton Electrolytic Aluminum Project

On June 6, 2025, Tianshan Aluminum Group announced that it plans to use the reserved site on the east side of the Shihezi plant area and adopt domestic advanced energy-saving technologies for electrolytic aluminum to carry out green and low-carbon energy efficiency improvement and transformation of 1.4 million tons of electrolytic aluminum production capacity. The construction period of the project is tentatively set at 10 months, and the construction investment is about 2.231 billion yuan.
According to the company¡äs public information: At present, the built production capacity of alumina of Tianshan Aluminum is 2.5 million tons, located in Baise National Ecological Aluminum Industry Demonstration Zone, Guangxi. The built production capacity of electrolytic aluminum is 1.2 million tons, located in the national Shihezi Economic and Technological Development Zone. At present, 5 electrolytic aluminum series have been built. After the new series on the east side is completed, the company will have 1 large series and 5 small series.
On June 28, 2024, Shenyang Research Institute of chemical industry successfully signed the Design Contract for Tianshan Aluminum 1.4 Million Tons Electrolytic Aluminum Green and Low-carbon Technology Transformation Project with Tianshan Aluminum Group. This design will adopt the latest electrolytic process technology of Shenyang Research Institute of chemical industry to provide support for the enterprise to improve quality and efficiency, achieve high-quality development, and save energy and reduce consumption.
