On August 21, the heating-up work for all cracking furnaces of the ethylene unit in the Guangxi Petrochemical Refining & Chemical Integration Transformation and Upgrading Project was successfully completed.
The heating-up work was carried out in three batches, with each furnace requiring 179 hours of heating-up. The heating-up of the first cracking furnace started on July 27 and concluded at 13:00 on August 21, taking a total of 25 days.
The smooth completion of the cracking furnace heating-up work marks that the cracking furnace area of the project is now ready for feedstock feeding and commissioning, laying a solid foundation for the project¡äs successful feedstock feeding and commissioning in October.
The PetroChina Guangxi Petrochemical Refining & Chemical Integration Transformation and Upgrading Project is a key measure to optimize the layout of refining and chemical operations in Southwest China. After completion and commissioning, the project will play an important role in filling the gap in the regional high-end chemical new materials industry, meeting the market demand in areas along the New Western Land-Sea Corridor, and assisting Guangxi in building a 1-trillion-yuan green chemical new materials industry cluster oriented towards ASEAN.
