Daxie Petrochemical¡äs 10 Million-ton Integrated Refining and Chemical Project Completed
2025-8-28
On August 22nd, China National Offshore Oil Corporation announced that its subsidiary Daxie Petrochemical¡¯s refining and chemical integration project has been fully completed in Ningbo, Zhejiang.
It is reported that the project is totally invested at 21 billion yuan. Its core production facility adopts China¡äs independently developed complete process technology for direct cracking of heavy oil to manufacture chemicals, mainly high-end chemical products such as polypropylene, with an overall process localization rate of 100%.
For many years, Daxie Petrochemical has focused on improving resource utilization efficiency and industrial chain value, building a complete integrated upstream and downstream industrial chain and achieving a leapfrog development from producing traditional fuel to high-end chemical new materials.
The core facility, the 3.2 million tons/year catalytic cracking unit, has an annual production capacity of 1.2 million tons of polymer grade ethylene and propylene, making it the largest polymer grade olefins unit directly converted from producing single heavy oil in China. After the unit is put into operation, Daxie Petrochemical¡äs olefin production capacity reaches 1.8 million tons per year, becoming the largest heavy oil direct conversion to olefin production base in the country.
The completion of Daxie Petrochemical¡¯s refining integration project has further enhanced China¡äs ability to independently build core chemical processes and equipment, significantly improved the utilization efficiency of heavy oil resources and provided a new development path for low-carbon transformation of refining manufacturers.
