Recently, the 50,000-ton-per-year NMP (N-Methylpyrrolidone) plant of Hualu Hengsheng (Jingzhou) Co., Ltd. has been successfully put into production and entered the stable trial operation stage. This adds a new member to the company′s portfolio in the new energy and new materials sector, further enriching its industrial chain layout in this field.

Adopting advanced technology, Hualu Hengsheng′s NMP production line only took 36 hours to achieve stable production of electronic-grade NMP from the start of feed trial production. It realized three key goals simultaneously: producing electronic-grade products as soon as it was put into operation, reaching the designed production capacity immediately after commissioning, and achieving stable operation right upon startup. It successfully produced electronic-grade NMP products that meet the high-end application requirements of the lithium battery industry in one go, with all indicators exceeding the requirements of the GB/T 27562-2011 standard.

NMP is an essential solvent for PVDF (polyvinylidene fluoride), the positive electrode binder in lithium batteries. It is widely used in fields such as lithium batteries, semiconductors, and liquid crystal displays. With the rapid growth of the new energy vehicle and energy storage industries, the market demand for NMP has maintained a steady upward trend.
