BASF Integrated Base Project-Ethylene Plant Completed

On the morning of August 31st, the mechanical completion ceremony and 30 million safe working hours celebration ceremony for the BASF integrated base project-ethylene plant, which was contracted by China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering (EPCC), kicked off at the project site. More than 200 people attended, including Lin Hanping, President of BASF Asia Large Projects, Tian Yaqing, Senior Vice President of BASF China New Integrated Base Project, Ma Chengke, General Manager of BASF Integrated Base Co., Ltd., department heads, representatives of supervision units, manufacturers, participants and project employees. Li Xiaoning, the Executive Director of China Huanqiu Contracting & Engineering, led the team to attend the celebration ceremony.

The BASF (Guangdong) integrated base project is an important achievement under the joint witness of the Chinese and German prime ministers. As BASF¡äs largest overseas investment project to date, it will be developed into BASF¡äs third largest integrated base in the world. Located in Donghai Island Petrochemical Industrial Park, Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province, the project adopts a global unified construction and management standard. The project documents are written in English. In terms of design and construction, both BASF/patent holders and domestic standards should be met. Implement mechanical completion in a subsystem manner. The green and low-carbon development strategy of intelligent cracking furnace and four-wheel drive is adopted, achieving deep modular construction of sea land integration.
