Bengbu SinaTi Materials¡¯s Chlorination Titanium Dioxide Production Line Achieves Mass Production
2025-10-14
On October 10, Bengbu SinaTi Materials Co., Ltd. (SINATI), a subsidiary of Bengbu Investment Group Co., Ltd. (Bengbu Investment Group), announced that after several months of intensive commissioning and trial production, the company¡äs 80,000-ton titanium dioxide production line using the chloride process has recently achieved stable mass production.
According to reports, SINATI¡¯s chlorination-based nano titanium dioxide project primarily involves the construction of an annual production line for 80,000 tons of titanium dioxide via the chlorination process, along with supporting production lines for 200,000 tons of titanium-rich feedstock and 150,000 tons of iron water deep processing (ductile iron pipes). Upon reaching full production capacity, the project will generate nearly 3 billion yuan in annual sales revenue, making it the largest manufacturing project invested and controlled by Bengbu Investment Group in recent years.
SINATI was established in 2020 with a registered capital of 500 million yuan. As one of the manufacturers in China¡äs titanium dioxide industry with a complete industrial chain spanning "titanium ore - titanium slag - titanium dioxide," the company leverages its full industrial chain resources to build a comprehensive system ranging from raw ore extraction, titanium slag production to chlorination-based titanium dioxide manufacturing. The company specializes in the R&D and production of high-performance titanium dioxide, with its product portfolio including high-titanium slag, titanium tetrachloride, titanium dioxide, and high-purity titanium dioxide.
In 2020, SINATI invested 1.743 billion yuan to develop a titanium dioxide project, adopting advanced chlorination process technology with a planned total production capacity of 300,000 tons. The project employs internationally leading end-to-end chlorination process technology and advanced automated control systems, ensuring meticulous management of the entire production process from raw material input to finished products, significantly enhancing production efficiency and quality stability. During the project construction phase, SINATI¡¯s technical team continuously explored new process methods and technical approaches, successfully overcoming numerous technical challenges in mass production through advanced equipment and scientific management.
In early September this year, the first chlorine-based titanium dioxide product, GR-901, was launched by SINATI. GR-901 is a multifunctional universal titanium dioxide produced using the chlorine-based process, featuring zirconium and aluminum coating, as well as organic and micronized surface treatments. The product boasts outstanding characteristics such as uniform particle size distribution, blue undertone, high brightness, high gloss, excellent dispersibility, superior weather resistance, and multifunctionality, making it widely applicable in fields like coatings, inks, papermaking, and plastics.
