On October 24th, the Seminar on Collaborative Research for Comprehensive Utilization of Waste Salt, organized by CCAIA, was held in Zibo, Shandong province. The Meeting was well attended by representatives from Dongyue Group, Xinjiang Tianye Group, Shaanxi Beiyuan Group, Fujian Southeast Electrochemical Company, NJTECH Environmental Technology Company, Bluestar Engineering Company and Bluestar (Beijing) Chemical Machinery Company. Also present were Zhang Wenlei, President of CCAIA; Zhang Shoute, Vice Secretary-General of the Association and Li Qiong, Director of the Comprehensive Management Department.
President Zhang Wenlei presided over the seminar and introduced the current status of caustic soda production via comprehensive utilization of waste salt, key existing issues and the industry’s collaborative research efforts for the next stage. Zhang Jianhong, President of Dongyue Group, delivered a welcome speech.
Combined with their companies’actual situations, the participating representatives conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on topics including the sources of waste salt, disposal technologies, economic viability, blending ratios and the adaptability of electrolytic devices to accommodate waste salt. They also put forward objectives, ideas, key tasks, and relevant suggestions for collaborative research.
The participating representatives reached a consensus that a special working group will be established as soon as possible after the seminar, and in-depth collaborative research work will be carried out under CCAIA’s unified organization.
